Why does this place stay in business? I have an abscessed tooth. I called for an emergency appointment and was told they are not taking new clients. I explained that 2 months ago I called for an appointment, was told that they weren’t taking appointments due to Covid but was able to speak with a dentist and send a picture of my tooth to him. The dentist gave a prescription for antibiotics and told me to make an appointment. I called, and called. Was told that they had no appointments available, even 2 months in the future or they did not answer the phone at all. This morning they answered the phone, told me they are not taking any new customers and that I was on my own. No suggestions as to where to call and the receptionist was incredibly rude and condescending. What is the issue here? This place should not be labeled a community health agency if they cannot/will not help people. This place should not be able to collect government subsidies for being a low income facility if they will not service the disadvantaged in their community.
I have an extremely painful tooth with part of it rotted off. It’s very painful. I have been calling everyday starting at 6:55am for over a week and when I finally get thru I am told that all appointments are taken. I explained the situation with my tooth n that I have no dental insurance and even showed them my tooth when I went down in person. I asked if they couldn’t check with a supervisor and find a way to squeeze me in given the condition of my tooth n they responded “you have to call in the morning......etc”they were very curt and not at all understanding or compassionate I was told to go somewhere else and that would be great if I had insurance but that isn’t a good attitude to present to patients. There are many many people in the community that complain about Katy Trail and the way they are treated while there. Just because we are poor doesn’t mean we should be treated poorly. I worked hard my whole life I have a college degree and was a radiologic technologist I had to retire due to several health issues and then on top of that I can’t even get the help I need at a facility that is suppose to serve the community
